Routeplanner
- It is best to use the website to create a route. This way you have enough screen space to see everything properly;
- Create the routes in the HERE map;
- No route yet? Use our RouteXpert library and find the perfect route or get inspiration;
- Check the route before departure. Are all the waypoints placed correctly on the roads and does the route still run as desired? Adjust if necessary, so that you do not encounter any unpleasant surprises while driving.
Start a route
See here which screens you encounter when you start a route in the app for navigation. The manual will sometimes refer back to these screens.
- Open the app and you will see the home screen;
- Go to the menu and open your route list at Routes & Tracklogs;
- Select the desired route and click on Navigate;
- Adjust your preference on the navigation home screen if necessary;
- The navigation screen.
Offline navigation
We recommend that you always prepare your journey for possible offline navigation. Sometimes you will end up somewhere where the internet is unstable and this can affect your navigation experience.
Click on the button at the top right of screen 2 to go to the app settings. Here you will find the offline maps.
- Check carefully which regions you are going to drive through and download the correct maps in the app;
- Take your time to download regions. So don't do it all at once and last minute;
- Is an update available? Download it (at home) in time and not last minute or on the road;
- Make sure that the routes you are going to drive are synchronized in the app.

Settings
Many people have many wishes. Our app has tried to meet all these wishes. This ensures that we have extensive settings with which you can customize your navigation to your liking.
Click on the button at the top right of screen 2 to go to the app settings. Here you will also find the navigation settings. During navigation, you can also open the navigation settings by clicking on the three dots at the bottom right (screen 5).
- Check whether the app has the correct permissions
- Advice: choose Always at the location permissions, because this is how the app works when it is in standby. Especially important when using Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
- Do you use voice instructions? Also check the voice settings on the phone itself for Android;
- Take a look at the navigation settings in the app in advance. Play with the options to find out what works for you and what doesn't.

Navigation
Before you start navigating, you may want to start this route differently than planned. Or you may want to skip a part of the route during navigation. This is all possible.
Screen 4 is waht you see when you start navigation. Screen 5 is the navigation screen.
- When starting navigation, you can choose whether the route should start at the starting point or at the nearest waypoint;
- When starting, you can also start from a specific waypoint by pressing it on the map for a long time;
- When navigating routes as tracks, you can start the route from a specific point on the route by holding the route line down for a long time;
- When navigating, you can skip a waypoint by clicking on the next waypoint (top right button - screen 5). When pressing briefly, you must confirm the choice; when pressed for a long time, it is skipped immediately;
- You can also skip multiple waypoints by going to the list of waypoints (three dots at the bottom right - screen 5) and clicking on the waypoint where the navigation should go directly;
- Just like when starting up, you can also hold down the waypoint/point on the route line during navigation on the map to navigate directly there.
