MANUAL 1 OF 7
With the MyRoute-app, you'll always have all your routes at your fingertips for your next adventure. There are several manuals available for the app. This manual explains everything you need to know when opening the app for the first time.
The app itself is free to download from the App/Play Store, but certain features require a paid subscription.
Table of Contents
First time in the app
When you first open the app, you'll see several screens.

- Getting started: See here briefly what the app can do;
- Notifications: Indicate here whether or not the app can send notifications;
- Location access: Grant permission to access your location here. We recommend selecting "While using the app." Read more about location permissions later in this manual;
- Let's go: Choose here whether you want to use the app without an account, or choose to register with MRA or log in with your existing account.
Register and log in
You can log in directly from the home screen or create an account. If you already have the app, you'll see how to log in on screen 3.

Location permissions
You already granted the first location permission when you started the app. If you've forgotten whether you granted permission or want to check it, you can always check this in your account settings. See App - Account for more information about account settings.
iOS
- When you first use the app, you'll see this message. We recommend selecting "Allow While Using App."
- When you start a track, this message will appear. Select "Change to Always Allow" to continue tracking when your phone/tablet is on standby or locked. If you don't do this, tracking won't continue if the app is running in the background.
- This is the last important message, but it's not necessary for tracking to work. However, we do recommend enabling this setting for smooth tracking.
Android
- When you start the app, you'll be asked if you want the app to read your location. Select the "While using the app" option. For optimal app experience, it's best to select "Precise".
- The following important message appears when starting a track. By clicking "Change to "Allow all the time" you can continue tracking while your phone/tablet is on standby or locked. If you don't do this, tracking will not continue if the app is running in the background.
- The final message asks for permission to access your physical activity. This permission isn't required for the track to function properly, but we do recommend it.
